Aggsbach

Welcome to Aggsbach Markt!

This holiday village is situated at the left shore of the upper Wachau valley, at the foot of the Jauerling.

Aggsbach was first officially mentioned in 830, since 1441 it is a market community. During a glacial period, you could find a camp built by mammoth hunters here, and these were the ones who created the world-famous fertility statue "Venus of Willendorf" 25 000 years ago.

Many leisure time possibilities are at your disposal: "Heurigen" tavern, family park "Märchenland" Hubhof, stone age museum and place of discovery of the "Venus of Willendorf", marked hiking paths, fishing at the Danube, tennis, beachvolleyball court, ...

... curling on the road, nature beach, Danube cycling route.
