The market community Erlauf and the Erlauf river have been room to settlements for thousands of years. For many centuries, the village lies directly at the main traffic connection between Vienna and Linz. The former post stop underlines this importance. Today, the village is marked by the parish church, the inns and the peace monuments.

Moreover, there are possibilities to go hiking - river nature trail along the Erlauf or to the Eichberg chapel, from which you will have a magnificent view over the Erlauf valley, the Nibelungengau, the Wachau and the Melk valley.

The inns of Erlauf will love to welcome you, and the community council invites you to visit the peace memorials. Or have a contemplative break on the market square.
