Black routes are only for experienced alpinists and mountain guides. In good weather, the Filzmoos lifts take guests high up into the mountains – there are plenty of round trails at 2,000 meters above sea level, such as the Salzburg Pasture Trail, the Dachstein round trail, or the trail to “Schwarze Lacke” (black lake) and afterwards back via Schwaigalm pasture and Neuberg. The skiing area with its 270 top modern lifts and more than 750 km of slopes is one of the largest ski resorts in Austria. Skiing at the nearby Dachstein Glacier is a very special highlight, especially when there is enough snow. Then you can enjoy great powder snow and fascinating panoramic views. A great hotspot for snowboarders is the Super Park at Dachstein. Cross-country skiers and biathletes, however, will love the Nordic training park.
