Fuschl am See

Holiday at the lake and in the mountains

There is no better place for a holiday resort: Fuschl am See is located between the Festival and Mozart city of Salzburg and the spa town of Bad Ischl. The privileged location at the emerald lake Fuschlsee amid stunning nature in the Salzkammergut area will either motivate you for hiking or cycling tours or to play golf during your summer holiday in Fuschl am See. A bathing holiday at the crystal-clear lake Fuschlsee – which has drinking water quality – offers relaxation and bathing fun for the entire family. If you prefer to stay dry but still want to enjoy the glittering water, maybe a cocktail à la Seewinkl on the terrace of the Seehotel is the right thing.

Cross-country skiing – discover the landscape

The large network of tracks offers a unique possibility during your holiday to discover the snow-covered region around Fuschl am See. There are 130 km of perfectly prepared cross-country skiing tracks which are popular among beginners, professional skaters and pleasure cross-country skiers alike. Skiers and snowboarders will find their terrain in the Gaissau-Hintersee skiing area, which is approx. a 30-minutes drive away. It is particularly popular among families with children. As a day out in snow makes hungry, enjoy typically Austrian specialities, such as cheese dumplings, a hearty snack with ham or home-made cakes, on one of the numerous sun terraces.

Bathing fun and imperial culinary delights

The Fuschlsee bathing area offers crystal-clear and comfortable bathing fun for all water lovers. The heated pools make swimming possible from spring to autumn. The lounger hall keeps wind and cooler temperatures outside and lets you enjoy all amenities of the Seebad in an unspoilt nature.
Traditional pastures and serviced huts attract visitors to the mountains. Already the emperor Franz Josef was a regular guests at Mayerlehner hut on Gruberalm pasture in Hintersee due to the legendary Kaiserschmarrn. By the way, the pasture is a Place of Happiness in the Salzkammergut area. These are places, which spread particular harmony and positive feelings. Whether this is “only” because of the Kaiserschmarren, you have to find out for yourself. Dwarfs, mills and mythical creatures make themed walks particularly interesting for the little ones but also for older holiday makers. Get back into the valley just a little faster: Take a ride on the summer tobogganing track and finish off a perfect family excursion.
