The small community of Geiersberg is in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Ried im Innkreis, bordering the borough of Grieskirchen.
Geiersberg, which is beautifully set on a small plateau, is the highest community in Ried i.I. and affords superb views of the scenic surroundings. To the North you can see the Bohemian Forest, to the South Hausruck ridge, Höllengebirge, the three Dachstein peaks, and the wide Schafberg saddle. In the west there are the Alps with Hochkönig, Watzmann, Hoher Göll and Untersberg near Salzburg.
