The municipality of Gerersdorf comprises the villages of Distelburg, Eggsdorf, Friesing, Grillenhöfe, Hetzersdorf, Hofing, Loipersdorf, Matzersdorf, Prinzersdorf, Salau, Stainingsdorf, Uttendorf, Völlerndorf and Weitendorf.
It covers an area of 1356 ha, and has 939 inhabitants.
Gerersdorf, which was first mentioned in 1850, has its own coat of arms since 1985.
