Romantic moonshine walks or shopping sprees? Skiing or culture? When on holiday in Innsbruck and its 25 village resorts this decision is unnecessary because here city and countryside, sports activities and cultural events are within a few kilometers.
The name already tells that some of the slopes are Olympic: the Patscherkofel mountain and the Axamer Lizum area were the center of international skiing in 1964 and 1976.
Getting there? No problem - the ski bus brings you from Innsbruck and all ski resorts directly to the ski areas; cheap ski passes are also included. Snow is guaranteed from November to the end of April.
Play golf in the mornings, enjoy a shopping spree afterwards, and after a visit of a restaurant you can climb to an altitude of 2,000m with your mountain bike. In the evening you enjoy a theater performance and your day ends with a few games in the casino. All of this is possible in Innsbruck and its 25 Village Resorts.
Guests can take part in a free hiking program which includes many guided theme hikes. A network of hiking trails covering 1,200km is at your doorstep. 100km of mountain bike trails covering an altitude range of 600m to 2,250m are available for beginners and pros.
The Club Innsbruck Card (free with one or more nights in Innsbruck or one of its Village Resorts) entitles to free use of the hiking bus. Discounts for many other activities apply.
The combination of urban flair with rural idyll and plenty of sports facilities make Innsbruck and its Village Resorts an ideal destination for the whole family.
...and offer plenty of accommodation ranging from quality hotels to homey holiday apartments.
Traditions are alive here!
Highlights in the calendar of traditional events are the cattle parades, the farmers´ markets, the Fasnacht parades during carnival season, the Wampelerreiten parade in Axams, exhibitions of nativity scenes or the impressive Easter graves.
