Plenty of happy moments in winter
Snow-covered meadows, glittering snow and winter activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing guarantee winter pleasures. The Hochzeiger skiing resort in the Tirolean Pitztal valley is the largest in size in the valley and is one of the most popular family skiing areas in the Tirolean Oberland region due to its diverse slopes, great snow guarantee and lots of sunshine. A total of 9 lifts, 40 km of perfectly groomed slopes and a snow park hold something for all ability levels and ages. The cross-country tracks are 70 km long and take you through the entire Pitztal valley. The skiing area also has a black slopes named after the ski star Benni Raich, who was born here. Another black slope is the 2-km-long Zirbenfall slope – it is one of the steepest slopes in Tirol. Sports fans will agree that the skiing area well deserves the quality seal for its slopes and snowboard facilities. The 6-km-long tobogganing track starts at 2,000 meters above sea level next to the mountain station of the Hochzeiger gondola and promises great fun amid snow off the slopes. A very special highlight is the night-time tobogganing fun with floodlit tracks every Thursday.
