Tip: twice a year Schloss Weinberg plays host to large events: the Weinberg Advent in December and Easter at Weinberg in March.

There is always a reason to celebrate!

Choose from a whole range of festivals, parades, processions, and more!

Religious events, church festivals, town fairs, highlights for the little ones - an eventful and exciting year is guaranteed! There is no doubt: people here are fond of merry-making and friendly company! Kefermarkt is also a great place to sample homemade foods such as artisan goat cheese and fresh farm butter. But we in Kefermarkt also know that there is more to life than celebrating and therefore we offer a choice of wellness treatments including “grain wading” and “beer bathing”.

Weinberg’s Advent Market is one of Austria’s most charming. To find out more visit

Wonderful crafts, demo workshops, Christmassy concerts, readings and the scent of baked apples, punch and gingerbread wafting through the air await you on the 2nd weekend of December at Schloss Weinberg (Friday to Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm). About 150 exhibitors present artisan craftswork. Visitors can even watch some of the artisans at work: quail embroiderers, glass blowers, weavers, goldsmiths, etc. Rittersaal hosts hourly concerts and/or readings which will get you into the right mood for Advent. Traditional wind renditions of old Christmas carols are given at the castle’s pond and the tower. For toddlers there is a kindergarten where they can have fun and romp about.

And once the Christmas holidays are over and the days are growing longer again, it’s time for the next great event at Schloss Weinberg: the Easter exhibition on rural handicrafts. This 2-day exhibition is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm on both days. Childcare is offered during exhibition times. The next Easter exhibition takes is held on the weekend of 21st March 2009.
