Kitzbüheler Alpen- BrixentalBrixental is a side valley of Inntal, south of the town of Wörgl. It is the gateway to the Kitzbühel Alps and the direct route to the internationally renowned sports resort of Kitzbühel, which plays host to the annual, crowd-pulling Hahnenkamm ski race. Unlike many other valleys in Tirol, Brixental is considerably wide, enclosed by gently rolling hills to both sides, and has no significant rise. The valley is a splendid base for a variety of walks and hikes to places of great natural charm (e.g. Lake Schwarzsee) and other places of interest. The Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental and Kirchberg/Kitzbühel ski areas are easily accessible. In addition, there are kilometers on end of well-maintained cross-country skiing tracks and several sledge tracks.
