North of Melk at the Danube, at the entrance into the fascinating southern Waldviertel, our municipality Leiben is located.

Dating back to the 11th century castle, today the "Europe castle", it has been totally renovated and now forms the centre of our cultural highlights. Just as well, it serves the purpose of an ideal historical ambiance for weddings, parties, product presentations, and many more.
Apart from the numerous exhibitions, the castle accomodates the unique agricultural-technical museum with pieces of a single production mobile test models and historical tractors.
