Mauerbach is a typical municipality in the Vienna woods, easily accessible from Vienna!

Numerous leisure time offers, e.g. fishing, playing tenns, horseback riding, wonderful hiking paths, one annual hiking day on the 26th of October as well as the castle park hall and the leisure centre "Feldwiese" invite you to come to Mauerbach near Vienna.

The historic charterhouse is also worth the visit (dating back to the year 1313). The information and documentation centre for historic handicrafts, which is located there, is an interesting excursion target.
