Holidays in Mayrhofen

The Zillertal’s main tow is located at the entrance to four side valleys: Zillergrund, Stillupgrund, Zemmgrund and Tuxertal. The high alpine Zillertaler Alpen Nature Park offers fantastic hiking off the beaten paths. The park offers pristine nature, unique vegetation and rare alpine animals. Running from Finkenberg to Mayrhofen, the 70-kilometer long Berliner Höhenweg trail crosses the entire length of the park and takes about a week to walk (total elevation gain: 6700 meters). Eight refuges along the way offer overnight accommodation and food. The Zillertaler Höhenstraße is one of the most beautiful high alpine roads and offers stunning views of the Zillertal and the surrounding mountains. It is especially popular with motor bikers.
