Mountain bikers will find plenty of exciting trails and varied terrain on Penken. Mayrhofen makes a great base for hiking holidays, with options ranging from easy panorama loops to high elevation trails with superb views of the valley. Ahornbahn cable car whisks hikers up to Ahornplateau, the entrance to the 372km² Zillertaler Alps Nature Park.
In the winter Mayrhofen-Hippach turns into a paradise for skiers and riders. Heavenly powder chutes, impeccably groomed ski runs and one of Austria’s most challenging black-rated ski slopes, the Harakiri, make skiing in the Mayrhofen Ski Resort a pure pleasure. Ahorn and Penken offer a total of 159 kilometers of ski runs for all level skiers and riders. Penken also caters to freeriders and plays host to countless parties and events.
