Michelbach

A warm welcome in Michelbach in the heart of Lower Austria!

The beautiful municipality Michelbach is embedded in a valley basin (closed towards the west) between Hegerberg and the Kukubauerhöhe.

The gently hilly landscape of the alpine upland with lots of wooded hills invites you to go for a walk or on a long hiking tour. The inns and Heurigen (wine taverns) in the valley offer the possibility to relax and to try culinary delicacies.
For quite a long time already, Michelbach is home to the so-called "Sommerfrische"; and furthermore offers private accomodation and holidays at the farm.
A special attraction is the Lower Austrian observatory built in 1999, which can be visited by everyone after prior announcement.
