Montafon

The Montafon comprises 11 towns between 650 and 1430 m and five ski resorts. The region is ideal for families, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The Montafon boasts over 500 kilometers of hiking trails, 860 kilometers of mountain bike routes and 180 kilometers of Nordic walking-routes. The mighty peaks of the Rätikon in the North-West, the Verwall in the North-East and the Silvretta in the South never fail to amaze visitors to the region. Popular hikes include the Montafon Hut Loop, educational herb hikes, hikes to dairies, and unique llama treks.

The Silvretta Montafon is Vorarlberg’s largest ski area. With 246 kilometers of groomed slopes, superb backcountry terrain and wide and sunny groomers, the Montafon offers something for skiers and riders of all skill levels. The Silvretta Monfafon is also known for its many outstanding powder skiing options and free backcountry safety checks. Other popular activities Nordic skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, ski mountaineering, and night sledding. A ride with the Flying-Fox-Golm makes for a fun experience for all ages.
