Along the foothills of the Manhartsberg, whose primary rocks reach into the Weinviertel, the market municipality Röschitz lies on ancient settlement ground. The mainly rurally structured municipality with the village parts Röschitz, Roggendorf, Klein Jetzelsdorf and Klein Reinprechtsdorf has got around 1.100 inhabitants.
The wine village Röschitz lies 6 km from Eggenburg and 15 km south of the town Retz in the western Weinviertel and is part of the Wine street of the Weinviertel.
