Sierndorf lies in the north eastern part of Lower Austria and is about 30 km away from the border of the capital town Vienna. Apart from a direct connection via the road B 303, Sierndorf can be reached from Vienna in hourly intervals via speed train.

Since the early 70s, Sierndorf is made up of 9 village parts and calls an area of 55 km² its own. The rural character combined with a good infrastructure attracts many people from the city to come to Sierndorf and settle or spend their leisure time here.

Sierndorf offers a recreational centre, whose central point is a pond. Along the pond, there is a nature trail. Kids will love the newly built playground.
