St. Johann in Tirol (670m) occupies a beautiful location in the Leukental, a scenic valley extending from Jochberg to near the Bavarian border.
With 8,300 inhabitants and 4,500 guest beds, St. Johann is the region´s economic and tourist center.
In the winter St. Johann offers 17 modern ski lifts and 60 kilometers of immaculate slopes on the more protected, snowy northern side of the Kitzbüheler Horn. Thanks to its friendly atmosphere, extensive skiing and great leisure facilities, St. Johann in Tirol attracts a loyal following of winter sport enthusiasts and nature lovers every year.

With excellently maintained cross country skiing tracks (St. Johann in Tirol is the starting point and final destination of the largest cross country skiing race in Austria), winter walking tracks, a toboggan run, an ice skating rink and numerous other amenities, St. Johann in Tirol is a popular venue for winter sports enthusiasts as well as for lovers of nature.
