Steyr has one of the most beautiful downtown squares in Europe, where Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo meet each other in harmony. In the middle is the town´s emblem - the lovely "Bummerlhaus", a jewel of late-Gothic architecture.
The mighty Lamberg Castle towers high above Steyr on the foundations of the Styraburg. The very castle to which the town owes its founding.

During wintertime Steyr, the Christkindl Town, is a special attraction. Visit Steyr´s pilgrimage place of Christkindl, named after the Christ child, where a purpose-built temporary post office opens its door every year by late November and answers innumerable letters from children.
