Thus, Straß has happened to be one of the most famous wine-growing villages of Austria for many decades already. The wine growing and barrel-maker museum shows you everything around the wine, ranging from work in the vineyards up to the fermentation of the wine in the barrel.
In the vinotheque, you can taste the best wines of Straß.
Straß already exists for more than 7000 years - more information about this is exhibited in an interesting historical exhibition in the primary school and in the Germanic Grange in Elsarn.
A unique fossile show in Obernholz looks back into yet more distant milleniums.
