Volders is a picturesque village that combines culture and nature to great effect. The Karlskirche church, Volders’ first landmark, can already be seen from the motorway. The Friedberg and Aschach castles serve to illustrate the interesting history of the village which dates back to prehistoric times. The Himmelsreich Rhaetian settlement is one of Tirol’s most important historical sites, and will give you interesting insight into life 2,000 years ago. There is also a 10 km loop trail which enables you to see even more historical landmarks. In Winter, Volders is an ideal starting point for alpine tours and tobogganing. The Volderberg tobogganing run is perfectly suited to families, and the Voldertal valley is a paradise for alpinists and mountain bikers.
