Actually, the forging in Ybbsitz, a beautiful place in the culture park Eisenstraße, has never stopped. At least not for the last 800 years. Due to the intensified revival of this old tradition you can hear it now as back in the old days: the beating and grinding in modern businesses as well as in old hammer forges.
Besides iron and old stories from the hammer master period one can find a variety of possibilities to relax, to do sports or to let oneself be spoilt.

The winter sport centre Prolling with its 11 km cross country skiing run and the children lift invites you to stay. Or simply enjoy a walk through the magnificent winter landscape with afterwards break at one of the warm, cosy inns.
