Ziersdorf, situated in the charming hilly landscape of the Schidatal valley, is nowadays a central village at the B4 (Vienna-Waldviertel).
This landscape is renowned for and characterized by viticulture, and invites you to enjoy and discover its beauties (nature education path Köhlbergweg and the community-footpath). Hikers and bikers are attracted by the well-known and high quality wines, as well as by the dense network of tracks and the cellar lanes cut deeply into the loess ground.
The village itself offers tennis courts, a beach-volleyball court and a playground, as well as a modern, heated bathing facility with about 300 m² of water surface (adventure pool with slide, water mushroom).
The events taking place all year (for example Schmidataler music parade, wine tasting, guided hiking and biking tours, open cellar doors, wine autumn festival and theatre performances) ensure entertainment.
