Three family-friendly ski areas are situated in the Hochpustertal valley.
The biggest one is called Thurntaler and is next to Sillian. It caters 45km of ski runs for all skill levels. A cable car, two four-seater chairlifts and two T-bar lifts.
NEW in winter 2010/2011: the old t-bar lift will be replaced by a heated 6-seater with weather protection.
The highest point of the area is 2407 meter above sea level. From there you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the mountain scenery. Queues at the lifts are virtually unknown as they can transport 10,000 persons.
The two smaller ski areas Obertilliach and Kartitsch are ideal for beginners and those with a limited budget. Night-time skiiing at the Dorfberglift in Kartitsch is especially great.
Tip for kids: children 6 years and under ski free. The two ski schools and the kids club Bobo supply all the children's needs.
