In the Hochpustertal valley, you will find one cultural treasure after the other
ANRAS CASTLE
Anras castle hosts a crime and punishment museum, a permanent exhibition of the works of the painter Paul Flora, and various special exhibitions. In the past, it used to be home to the Court of the Brixen Archbishops.
The Heinfels Castle is so picturesque you can't help but take photos. During the Gustav Mahler music weeks in summer, it serves as a romantic backdrop for astonishing concerts. And then there is the listed village of Obertillach, which has Austria's last night guard, who protects the valuable wooden buildings in the village centre.
The culture network has a long and exciting history, and its members are many different associations.
* Obertilliach/Lesachtal carriage museum: A remarkable collection of carriages and sleighs from various periods of our history. Farmer's tools can be found here too, and an exhibition about the traditions of the Pustertal valley, which is well worth visiting!
* Wurzerhof/Ausservillgraten/Winkltal farm: This unique ensemble of farm buildings was renovated in collaboration with the Villgraten Preservation Society. There are many attractions: a triple mill from 1882, a chapel, a laundry room, and in summer a smokehouse, a blacksmith's workshop, and an old wood furnace.
* Anras Castle / Pustertal Panorama Road: Anras castle is a wonderful example for the preservation of ancient monuments. It is rightly called a true cultural jewel. There is also a court museum hosting a crime and punishment exhibition and various interesting exhibitions.
