The idyllic holiday village Ried, surrounded by the picturesque mountains of the Ötztal Alps and the Samnaun mountain range is the centre of the holiday region Tiroler Oberland & Kaunertal.
Ried convinces its guests with wonderful swimming lakes, the breath-taking mountain railway across the Fendler Bach brook, impressive alpine pastures and wonderful hiking trails. With its traditional restaurants and specialized shops Ried belongs to the Tirolean villages where the traditional character has been preserved and the centre is very lively.
Thanks to the central location and the vicinity of the cross-border area Ried is the ideal starting point for tours to the Swiss Engadin, to South Tirol or the capital Innsbruck. The hiking trail Via Claudia along the Inn river towards Tösens, the Herrensteig path between the Wiener Hütte hut and the Belvedere Hütte hut as well as the more than 100m-high Falling Brook near the Anton-Renk-Hütte hut make Ried a special place for guests and locals.
