AREA 47: „The Ultimate Outdoor Playground“

Exciting sports and adventure activities of the Alps uniquely combined in a 66.000 m² area.

skip Outdoor fans are usually amazed by the enormous amount of activities offered here. Dare devils try conquering the 27 meter high highrope Climbing Area or the mega climbing wall. Instead of taking a "normal" sightseeing tour in AREA-47 you take the 350 m long "Flying Fox"! During this exciting flying experience you see the 7000 m² „Water AREA“ where dare devils show spectacular moves while jumping of the ramp with their snowboards, skis or BMX-bikes. If you dont' mind getting wet you can go rafting on the Ötztaler Ache or the Inn or go canyoning in the wild and romantic ravines. The area is also ideal for mountainbiking and climbing.

Giant slide park with a 27-m-high diving platform

skip The giant waterslide park attracts a lot of water fans. There are six waterslides, some of them are the steepest in Europe, to give you an adrenaline kick. Especially the 27 meter high diving platform is a real challenge. Experts like Orlando Duque, winner of the „Red Bull Cliff Diving“-series, have decided to train in the new tyrolean „Acapulco“. Lots of action also on the many beach-volleyball- and beach-soccer-fields.
Climbing fans meet at the „Climbing Area“. On the bridge pillars of the "Achbrücke" a 27 meter high climbing route has been designed, the highest one of its kind in Austria. Beginners and intermediate climbers can train their skills on several routes of all difiiculty levels. There is also a boulder cave mit many different climbing combinations just high enough to still jump off. A special challenge is the AREA-47 high rope course at an altitude of 27 meters. Safety is guaranteed by a safety rope and skilled instructors. Nevertheless it still takes a lot of courage, fitness and concentration to conquer the course with dangling ropes and trapezes.

Party, relax and sleep in

skip If all this action has made you hungry you can visit the „Lakeside-Restaurant“ in the centre of the „Water AREA“. The restaurant can seat 400 people and serves gourmet dishes, juicy burgers and excellent steaks. Thanks to the large glass slide doors and the sunny terrace you have a great view on the action outside. The „AREA Dome“ is designed for sports and music events and has a capacity of 8.000 visitors. The ceiling being 19 meters high allows motocross artists to perform spectacular stunts. Partydome „River Haus“ is the place to be: here you can party, enjoy good food, chill and have a good time. It is designed for concerts and events for a max. of 400 people. Afterwards you can relax in one of the accommodations of AREA 47. There are wooden tipis and log cabins for sweet dreams and after a long sleep in you can join in the action again on the next day.
