In 1962 werden The Spectres (inklusief gitarist/zanger Francis Rossi) opgericht, dan onstond hieruit in 1967 (met Rick Parfitt op de gitaar en als zanger) – na de naamsverandering – Status Quo. 29 Studio-albums, 120 miljoen verkochte platen en de meeste Hit-Singles in de britse Charts – Status Quo zijn levende legendes. De band speelde meer als 6.000 Live-Shows in de grootste hallen van de wereld, maakte uitverkochte tournées en werden door meer als 25 miljoen mensen bejubeld.
