HIKING TIPS

Hoher Übergang (Salvesenklamm gorge):
Imst Oberstadt - Prantlsteig - Starkenberg Castle - Oberer Rotanger - Hoher Übergang - back to Imst
Hiking time: Approx. 3 hours
TIP: Hiking boots are required!

Scheibenbichl - Wetterkreuz:
Imst Rathaus (town hall) - Putzenwald - Scheibenbichl
(great view!) - Hoch-Imst; descent via Wetterkreuz
(great view!) - Imst

Hiking in the Gurgltal valley - Imst-Gurgltal Tirol
Karrösten: Imst Piger bridge - Karrösten - Kriegerkapelle chapel - Imst Piger bridge.

Karrösten - Karres: Karrösten - towards Karröster Alm to car park - rising trail up to Karreralpweg trail - down along Karreralpweg - until you get to the houses of Karres
(left turn) - track leading up to Karrösten

Milserberg trail: Gunglgrün (Maria Schnee church) - Kohlstatt - back along gravel road to Gunglgrün or to Mils
Hiking time: approx. 2.5 hours
TIP: hiking boots, panorama trail

Imsterberg loop trail: Tiwag Kraftwerk Imst - Arzler Wald - Imsterberg - Imsterau - Tiwag Kraftwerk
Hiking time: approx. 2 hours
TIP: easy hike

Maisalm in Roppen - Imst Tourismus Tirol
Imst Höhenweg Trail (high Alpine path): Hoch-Imst - lift ride to top terminal (2,200 m) - Drischlsteig path - Muttekopfhütte lodge - towards Seebrig - Pleiskopf peak (2,560 m) - Larsenngrat ridge - Laggers (2,328 m) - descent to Hoch-Imst.
Hiking time: approx. 8 hours (no. 622)
TIP: good physical shape, surefootedness, good head for heights and excellent hiking equipment required!

Roppen - Maisalm: hamlet of Mairhof (Post Office) - steeply rising path - along Forchheimerweg trail - Maisalm lodge Great view of Inntal valley.
Hiking time: approx. 2.5 hours (one way)
TIP: beautiful hiking tour for advanced hikers

Schönwies panorama trail: from Starkenbach towards the waterfalls - descent to Mils
Hiking time: approx. 3 hours
TIP: good physical shape is required; stunning view
