The cosy, fully-equipped apartment is ideally situated for enjoying the many winter activities on offer in the area, and is easily accessible.

There is excellent skiing at Dachstein West (Upper Austria’s largest ski area), or at Postalm (Europe’s second largest high alpine pasture). Both resorts are suitable for all ages and abilities. Cross-country skiing is also very popular in the area, particularly at Rettenbachalm, on the outskirts of Bad Ischl, and at Gosau, where there are approximately 20km of prepared tracks in a beautiful valley setting particularly suitable for beginners. The owners of the apartment can provide more information on request.

In Bad Ischl itself, the thermal spa is open all year, and it is possible to swim outside amidst the snow!

Some walking is still possible as there are cleared paths, and the local tourist office can provide further information.

And of course there are the advent markets, particularly round Lake Wolfgang where you can enjoy a day travelling between them by boat.
