Springlike atmosphere can be experienced at the Easter market "Ei-Zeit" (egg time) in Eggenburg. The medieval town with nostalgia and charming flair welcomes the first excursion guests on the weekend before Easter.

In the arcades of the historic houses and at the beautiful Hauptplatz many exhibitors and craftspeople present again their arts, Easter decorations and skillfully created goods and beautiful handicrafts. One will certainly find the right thing for Easter and spring decoration.

Saturday, 19th March
08.00 a.m. Opening of the season Brunnenmarkt
10.30 a.m. Children's songs with the choir of the primary school Eggenburg
11.11 a.m. Draw of gift box
from 10 a.m. Scrambled eggs with bread, fruit juices, beer, healthy & hearty meals

Saturday and Sunday from noon: Easter specialities in our restaurants
3 p.m. Folk dance group Gedersdorf
4 p.m. Stories, songs and poems with Georg Bydlinski
7 p.m. Guided night watchman tour,

Sunday, 20th March
09.00 a.m. Palm consecration in front of the monastery church, procession
10.30 a.m. "Frühschoppen", citizen corps

The Eggenburg Brunnenmarkt also opens its season:
from 8 a.m. there will be fresh goods as usual: vegetables, fruit, sausages, meat, sweets and many more - for every palate something. A varied programme, hearty and savoury food can be enjoyed while strolling and shopping.

Offered are children's choir, merry-go-round, reading for children, folk dance, price draws.
From the Adlerbrunnen fountain at 7 p.m. night watchman Heinz leads you through the nightly streets and walks with you in the footsteps of the knight Egino to mysterious and eventful places.
