Welcome to Pottenstein
The market municipality Pottenstein is the centre of the Triesting valley; located at the main road 18 (access southern motorway). Station of the railway track Leobersdorf - St. Pölten. The municipality has two village parts: Pottenstein and Fahrafeld.
Sights:
- pilgrimage church with gothic elements and the "Doppelkarner"
- in special quarrystone way (from the 13th century), the landmark of Pottenstein and part of the community emblem
- renovated rococo-, Biedermeier- and Art Nouveau houses
- last residence of Ferdinand Raimund
- the "Old manor-house" serves as a cultural centre and Triesting valley museum today
