Skiing has a long tradition in Stuben am Arlberg. The stories about this village and its guests date back to the beginnings of Alpine skiing when the ascent to the Albonagrat mountain ridge was still burdensome.

The Albona, the legendary trademark mountain, where snow is guaranteed until May, is a true paradise for all those who fancy skiing on deep-snow slopes far away from mass tourism. There is hardly any other mountain which offers so many possibilities to ski down. Even the locals are perpetually discussing new options. Stuben is a true paradise for skiing enthusiasts who want to indulge both in sports and in social gatherings.

Via the Valfageherbahn lift, Stuben is connected to the St. Anton and St. Christoph ski areas. With the ski bus, you get from the Alpe Rauz to Zürs and Lech within a few minutes only. In total, the Arlberg features 86 mountain railways and lifts. They give access to a fantastic ski world which offers everything your heart desires: 276 km of perfectly prepared slopes and 180 km of deep-snow slopes, gentle family slopes for beginners, varied fun parks for snow boarders, a Cyber Area for carvers, demanding steep slopes and alpine tours as a sportive challenge for experts and pros.

Natural snow in abundance as well as state-of-the-art snow-making facilities makes for excellent conditions from the end of November until May.
