Local history museum Wallern

The local history museum is in the Brucknerstrasse, 250 m east the market place. In that multi-purpose building are also the fire-brigade arsenal and the music home.

The museum was opened in the year 1997 and extended 1999/2000. Task and a goal of the culture area Wallern is the collection of the still existing rural cultural property and its presentation.

In two areas becomes the rural housing tradition running out 19. Century shown (, furniture painted furniture). Old opinions (copper passes) over the basic rule of the Pfarre Wallern to give explanation about the legal relations before 150 years.

In the intending area 20. Century are memory pieces of the two world wars. In addition the association history of the comrade shank federation is documented.

In the opposite barn one finds a collection of many rural implements from the seed to the harvest, a Mostpresshaus and an old binder workshop.

Special value is put on the representation of social conditions of the rural serving messengers. In two small niches became more "Menscherkammer" and "Einlegerstueberl" furnished.

In the next area the development of the two denominations in picture, writing material and exhibits is documented. A copy over the first mention of the place in the year 815 is issued. The two relief pictures of the side altars from the old catholic parish church and the explanations earn special attention over the then pilgrimage church.
