Some 1,000 kilometers of way-marked trails make the Schladming – Dachstein area a prime destination when it comes to walking and hiking in Austria. In addition, there are eight climbing routes, some 500 kilometers of trails for mountain biking and cycling, as well as 40 routes for Nordic walking. Four golf courses ensure exercise and fun down in the valley. Adrenaline junkies will enjoy whitewater rafting and paragliding.

Natural must-sees in the area include more than 300 lovely mountain lakes just perfect for a refreshing soak on a hot summer’s day. Putterer See and Ramsau-Beach rank among the most beautiful lakes for bathing. The Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card is available for visitors from 950 member businesses (hotels and other accommodation) and entitles to discounted tickets for public pools, lakes, mountain transport, etc.
