At the entrance of the world's most active valley - the ZILLERTAL - lies the holiday paradise "First holiday region of the Zillertal" with the famous winter resorts Fügen/Hochfügen and Kaltenbach. The region includes 12 villages, which fullfil all requirements of international guests.
Wonderful slopes above the forest line are perfect for skiing and for enjoying the white winter wonderland while darting down on Stephan Eberharter's tracks (Olympic champion who was born in this region). Romantic huts and cozy inns are the ideal places for a stop-off.

Longest ski run with artificial snow in the Zillertal valley

The base terminal of the SPIELJOCH ski area in the holiday region of Fügen is situated in the village centre and easily accessible.
In times like these with the merger of large ski areas to even larger ski areas, the Spieljoch ski area puts the focus on families and children. Everyone who prefers safetey and relaxed skiing fun instead of highlife will find perfect conditions on our slopes. Everything - catering or the service at the lifts - is adjusted to children and families.

Not too big, safe and comfortable - that's the motto of the Spieljoch mountain railway. The ski area features 21km of well-groomed pistes. 8 lifts and a magic carpet take you up the mountains. Wonderful powdersnow-slopes at the Geolsalm and the 7km-long run to Fügen will fascinate even the greatest expert. We also offer a games' room with a playstation and a varied entertainment programme for kids. There's also a kindergarten for kids between 0 and 7 years open daily between 9am and 4pm.

Hochfügen/Hochzillertal - best connection

Get to know winter's best side. Last season the ski area Hochfügen/Hochzillertal was awarded the title TOP RESORT.

The best connection - the motto of the ski area - stands for skiing and boarding fun on 155km of well-groomed pistes in front of an impressive backdrop. The ski area sets new standards with 35 top modern lifts and snow is guaranteed until May 1 (Hochfügen).
New in winter 2006/2007: from the base terminal in Kaltenbach a second 8-seater cable car makes sure that queues belong to the past. And the Zillertal's only heated 8-seater chair lift provides even more comfort.

If you haven't been skiing long enough during the day, you can also go skiing by night on our illuminated pistes.
Skiing by night is offered on Wednesdays and Fridays at the ski area Hochzillertal and on Thursdays at the ski area Hochfügen. Spend the last hours of the day in a bar on one of the many cozy inns.

... at our "Zwergerl Club" Guest Kindergartens: in Kaltenbach at the Hochzillertal top station, in Hochfügen at the panorama restaurant and the Spieljochbahn top station. This way parents can enjoy their skiing days to the full knowing their children are in good hands here.

NO skiing instruction is offered at the Guest Kindergarten.

The Kindergartens are open daily from 9am to 4pm.
