Heavenly Winter Pleasures in the Zillertal and Pinzagau Valleys' Largest Skiing Region

The Zillertal Arena is one of the largest and most modern ski areas in all of Austria. It includes 166 km of slopes for all levels of ability, and it transports more than 78,000 persons per hour with its state-of-the-art lift facilities.

The Zillertal Arena is a winter fun paradise: There are 36 alpine huts, snow bars and restaurants. Ski schools have their own adventure areas for the little ones.

NEWS at Zillertal Arena in winter 2010/11:
- Karspitzbahn II in Zell (8 people): take Karspitzbahn I (former: Wiesenalmbahn) + II in Zell in the Zillertal Arena and reach 2,116 meters in only 12 minutes!
- Improvement of slopes and more artificial snow cannons at the sports slope in Zell
- Flaschbachbahn in Gerlos (8 people incl. heating of lift chairs)
- Dorfbahn I + II in Königsleiten with a total of approx. 3 km; new restaurant at the mountain terminal at 2,200 meters above sea level.

Take romantic hikes on prepared trails, enjoy cross-country skiing whilst enjoying the wonderful views, try a snow shoe hike through the white, pristine nature or be brave and go on the Arena Coaster!

Arena Hot Zone Snowpark

New for boarders and free skiers: the new easy to medium Slopestyle Fun Park at Vorkogel lift in Gerlos!

The Zillertal Arena has always had a reputation as a free skier's paradise. And it gets even better: Now there is a Freestyle Park in the middle of our amazing ski area. Our Hot Zone Snow Park has been designed by the Boarders Playground Team, and they know what they are doing! Beginners and Experts alike will have fun here, meet soul mates, and improve their skills.

There are two different kicker lines (easy and medium), and a jib line (with a rainbow box, a kinked box, a straight box, and a curved box). A jibber's dream! So do not hesitate. Get up there and show us some moves!

Arena Coaster - a unique experience

Zillertal's first rollercoaster

Zillertal's latest attraction offers exhilarating fun for all ages! All of our visitors are thrilled by the fun, action, and speed of this brand-new attraction. The Alpine Coaster covers 1,450m. It starts at the base terminal in Zell. There are numerous adventurous bends, sharp corners, and jumps to get your adrenaline going. There is no doubt about it: The Alpine Coaster will be a very special winter and summer attraction. And we have not even talked about the frightening 360° and 540° spinner corners!!

Arena Center

Your entertainment centre in the middle of Zillertal Arena!

The Arena Center is the pulsating heart of the Zillertal Arena. It is located right next to the mountain station of the Isskogel lift in Gerlos.

Everyone finds a place to crash in after some great skiing: There is a self-service restaurant, a wintergarden bar with amazing vistas of the Gerlos mountain scenery, a pub with Internet terminals, a large sun terrace, and a self-catering room.

And what about the kids?

Of course there is a rich offer for kids, also. Try Billy's Arena Kids Club or the children's restaurant. Professional supervisors take care of your kids aged 1-4... and they'll just love Billy, our mascot!
