Roman Bath in Roppen

At the foot of Tschirgant, right on the Inntal Cycle Path and the Route of St. James ...

Kneipp cure - Römerbadl in Roppen - Tirol

.. there is the old Roman bath, which, in 1998, was turned into a covered Kneipp facility.

The water has a temperature of 12°-13° all year through and is rated as a calcium-magnesium- sulfat-hydrogencarbonat spring. It has been used as healing water for generations. The water´s special features are due to the mineral stones. The spring was also called "Roman bath", as the Roman road passed it. It is not known though whether Roman soldiers actually used it. Their horses probably stilled their thirst here.

Pilgrims on the Route of St. James can relax there.

Sitting facilities in the vine-covered bower and a drinking fountain complete the offer.

Admission is free!
