The Schönbrunn Castle Theater was the private stage of the Habsburg family. The children of the Empress often appeared in stage plays and entertained the court.
Here, Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart conducted their works, and Christoph Willibald Gluck staged his operas. Today the theater is used for rehearsals by young actors of the famous Max-Reinhard-Seminar.
