Difficulty: middle (to the Wartenfels Ruins), after that difficult (Schober and Frauenkopf mountain)

Begin: parking area Fuschlseebad

This walk begins from the lakeside promenade. Pass Ebner’s Waldhof Hotel and bear off right up the path through the woods to the WaldhofAlm and Forsthaus Wartenfels which is quite steep in parts. From here continue to the Wartenfels ruins, the Frauenkopf summit or the Schober mountain, or do all three! The last part of the tour is more difficult and good walking boots are essential. The Schober summit is quite a climb although there are cables to hold on to. Refreshment stops at the WaldhofAlm and Forsthaus Wartenfels

Walk to the ruins: 1 ½ hrs.
Walk from village to the Schober summit 2 ¼ hrs.
Difference in height to the top of the mountain is 600 m.

If the weather is bad or wet, we do not recommend this tour.

It is also possible to drive to the Forsthaus Wartenfels.
