!Attention: Mellau/Damüls/Faschina is the largest ski region in Bregenzerwald with 29 mountain railways/lifts plus approx. 109 km ski slopes / routes, this ski region has its own lift card - possible only up to 2 1/2 days -

There is a 3-Valley ski pass for the 37 ski regions in Bregenzerwald/Lechtal/Grossen Walsertal with 161 mountain railways/lifts with approx. 495 km ski slopes / routes.

Skis/ski boots/snowboards/snowplates can be rented at Sport Broger in the village or at Sport Natter at the Mellau mountain railway.

The ski school offer and the practice lifts are approx. 80 m away from Haus Mario.

At the Mellau mountain railway there is a kindergarten for guests which is open daily from 09.00 - 16.00.

In Mellau there is a natural toboggan run with evening tobogganing.

There are daily guided snow shoe hikes in Mellau.

1 x weekly a torch lit walk and also a slide show with winter impressions.

Horse drawn sledge rides and dog drawn sledge rides are also possible in Mellau,

guided ski tours are available for beginners and advanced, and also for variant skiers.

In Mellau/Bezau there are daily hikes and places worth visiting, eg an alpine dairy.

At Haus Mario we can also suggest hikes, mountain tours, trips to museums and excursions by car or motorbike. We will gladly print out this information for you.

Every Sunday morning between 11.00 - 13.00 there is a concert at the Rossstelle Mellau at 1430 m.

For cyclists there is a cycling path (almost completely level) from Egg - Mellau and to Schoppernau, which is approx. 30 k long (one way) and only approx. 80 m away from Haus Mario.

Haus Mario has a lock up room for bikes.

Bikes can be rented from Sport-Broger.

The Reuthe Spa is only 4 km away from us, stay with us and utilise the Spa facilities nearby.

The famous Bregenz Opera on the Lake is from the 20.07 - 21.08.2011,

the Schubert Konzert in Schwarzenberg is from the 18.06 - 03.07 and 27.08 to 11.09.2011.
