Ringed by mighty mountains, the Gepatsch reservoir is certainly a must-see in the area, as is the scenic Kaunertaler Gletscherstraße mountain road with an overall length of 26 kilometers that takes travelers up to Weissseeferner at an altitude of 2,750 m. In summer the entire area is a popular destination among walking, hiking, Nordic walking, mountain biking and motorcycling enthusiasts. Motorcyclists, for instance, love the winding roads, with the Reschenpass road being everyone's favorite. In winter the Oberland region ranks among the top skiing destinations in the Alps. The Kaunertal Glacier and Nauders ski areas come with cutting-edge uphill facilities and immaculate slopes. The Reschenpass ski area covers two countries and offers 120 kilometers of ski runs.
