Winter Sports Center

The base station of the ski lifts into the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal ski area is located in Kaltenbach. Named "The Best Connection" the ski area boasts 155km of impeccable ski runs all the way down to Hochfügen. Two 8-person gondolas ensure that waiting lines are virtually unknown here. The famous "Kirstallhütte" already saw such famous guests as the German and the Austrian presidents, and is considered the Zillertal´s best ski hut. But there are plenty of other mountain huts and inns in the ski area that invite you to stop by and relax. At the base station there are several après-ski bars and many ski service shops.

Central Zillertal Valley

Central location in the heart of Zillertal valley, 17km from Mayrhofen and 34km from the Hintertux glacier. The bottom station of the Zillertalbahn steam train is a popular meeting point of nature enthusiasts. The "Rent a bike" service offers rental bicycles and bicycle storage. Enjoy a splendid hike to the waterfalls or take the public bus to get to the Hochzillertal hiking area and the Zillertaler pass road.
