The Arlberg Myth
A unique atmosphere awaits you at the entrance of Lech as the romantic village is surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Guests from all around the world have come to this winter paradise in order to spend their holidays. It is the combination of a fantastic ski resort, an unspoilt landscape and many high-class accommodations and restaurants. Despite the fact that Lech has attracted famous people and royals for decades, it is still very different to most skiing resorts. It is not the place where you will find large concrete hotels, fancy events and party tourism. Lech am Arlberg is one of the best skiing areas worldwide located around a cozy mountain village. Fun in winter, sports and pleasure are the most important aspects for skiing holidays in Lech.
Summer Holidays in Lech
When the last snow melts in June, then the mountain summer starts in Lech am Arlberg. The mountains around the village offer interesting walking tours and hikes to the surrounding peaks. Traditional paths make you discover unknown places such as e.g. the old Bürstegg Walser settling and the “Steinerne Meer” which can be explored on a walk from Lake Spullersee to Lake Formarinsee. The romantic bath in Lech offers the perfect refreshment after hiking tours on hot summer days. According to the slogan “More space, more time”, Lech is also known for its Philosophicum. Every year in September Lech focuses on socially relevant topics.
