Skiing from 3250 meters above sea level all the way down to the town at 1377 meters. Tirol's highest mountain, the Wildspitze, is located in the Ötztal Alps.

There are 250 3,000 m mountains in the Ötztal Alps, 60 of which are more than 3,400 m high. Nowhere else in the Alps you will find so many 3,000 meter high peaks in such a small area. With 86 glaciers, Ötztal also has the Alps' highest concentration of glaciers.
