At the Zillertal Arena we are especially looking forward to welcoming young guests. In every village we offer exciting and colourful programmes for children. Zell and Gerlos are certified Family-Tirol villages, where certified educators have developed interesting and lifelike programmes for kids. They range from BBQs at bonfire places to torchlight walks - a family holiday in the Zillertal Arena does never get boring. And while the kids explore the surrounding mountains the parents can relax with wellness treatments or enjoy one of the many hiking and sports programmes.
Be really active in the leisure park in Zell. The 45,000 sqm-large adventure swimming baths boast a gigantic slide, beachvolley ball courts, a mini golf course, a Raiffeisen adventure playground, a bowling alley, culinary delights and much more.
A new high-rope park in Gerlos makes a thightrope artist out of you. There are 15 elements for adventures in great heights and of course you will be accompanied by professional guides.
The climbing tower in the city center of Gerlos offers something for all ability levels - come and try this sport for the first time or pick one of the more demanding routes.
Those who want to do something to stay healthy and fit should use the Nordic Walking trails in the Zillertal Arena. Every village boasts Nordic Walking trails or guided Nordic Walking tours as part of the weekly event program. A total of 84km of tracks certified as running course has been built and quality-sealed in Zell and Gerlos according to official criteria. So there's no hindrance to extensive outdoor training sessions. Furthermore, there's the possibility to get tips for your personal health from a certified running coach for free.
Those who want to link hiking tours and walks with some very special experiences and want to get to know the country and its people should choose the theme trails in the Zillertal Arena. For example, the Wood Trail in Zell, which explains everything about the forest or the Delicacy Trail at the Rosenalm alpine pasture (Zell) which allures more and more hikers with regional specialties. The circuit hike around Hainzenberg takes you to the pilgrimage church Maria Rast, which is known all over Tirol, to a show dairy and a gold mine.
Cycling fans will definitely get their money's worth at the "Bike Arena". More than 230 km of mountain bike trails for all ability levels await the guests, mountain railways take you to the most beautiful bike areas in summer. Those who prefer the more relaxed way of life can discover the surroundings on the Zillertal Cycle Path in the valley.

The Arena Skyliner, a new flying device and a further development of the Flying Fox, awaits all guests at the Arena and offers fun, action and unforgettable perspectives! The Arena Skyliner includes 4 tracks with a total lenght of 738 meters and you will reach maximum speeds of up to 50km/h.

Enjoy the thrill and speed of the Zillertal's first alpine roller coaster ride, the Arena Coaster! The run is 1,450 m long and starts directly at the Zillertal Arena station in Zell. Steep turns, jumps and bumps, and 360° and 540° loops - the Coaster is an attraction for all age groups!

The Holzweg trail is the perfect facility to explore the forest in all its facets. It stimulates your senses as well as your curiosity and play instinct by interactive transfer of knowledge. This interpretive trail is supposed to increase the people's consciousness of their habitat lying at their doorstep.
The following stations make you experience the forest: humming stone, scented berry, birdcalls, use of the forest, view into the treetops and many more adventurous stations offering plenty of interesting information.

How about a beautiful walk followed by some good food? The Arena Delicacy Trail offers both! Enjoy a 1-hour walk from the Rosenalm to the Kreuzwiesenalm where you can indulge in hearty Zillertal specialties. You can take the Rosenalmbahn lift in Zell am Ziller. Get off at the top station and follow the trail through lush alpine pastures and small forests to the idyllic Kreuzwiesenalm. Some typical dishes from the Zillertal are presented along the way to make your mouth water.

The Nordic Walking Trail leads from the upper terminal of the Rosenalmbahn at an elevation of 1744m to Simon's Barn and continues to the Kreuzjoch mountain hut (1980m). The entire route covers 4.8 km (both ways), featuring 230 m of difference in altitude. There are giant nordic walking pole panels showing you how to warm up, the right technique, exercises to relax and a lot more.
At the Kreuzjoch mountain hut you can enjoy the stunning panoramic view and treat yourself to a hearty snack and drink.

From the village center along Gerlosstrasse road to Waldheim. Hiking trail no. 8 on the right side leads past beautiful Stations of the Cross to the Maria Rast Pilgrimage Church - one of the most beautiful stations on this loop. The trail continues past a dairy, a gold mine and the old school in Dörfl. The trail continues to Brigittenstein, another attraction on Hainzenberg. Along the clearly explained stations you will get back to the starting point via Wischberg mountain. Many inns await hikers along the trail.

From the Rosenalm (top station of Rosenalmbahn/Zillertal Arena) you can get to the Kreithütte mountain hut, in 25min. The visitors awaits a breathtaking panorama of the Zillertaler mountain range and the Tuxer Alps. All the mountains and peaks are also explained via two large boards. Another board gives information about sights and excursions around Zell. The cozy Kreithütte hut is the perfect place to take a rest.
