Pertisau am Achensee

Dien-Mut-Weg Trail - Pertisau am Achensee

Besinnungsweg - Dien-Mut-Weg - Pertisau am Achensee Tirol

In 2008 the idea started to form to remodel the old Bärenbadweg in Pertisau, which Italian POWs had built in WW I.

The new trail was officially opened and consecrated by Father Heinz Kleinlechner on October 5, 2008. The trail's name "Dien-Mut-Weg" comes from Old High German and means "Courage to Serve" and was chosen in remembrance of Saint Notburga, the patroness of servants and peasants.
The beautiful trail offers superb views and has little elevation change, making it ideal for seniors and families with young children. In addition there are several benches along the way offering a nice opportunity to rest and observe nature.

Start: at the parking lot approx. 200m after Gasthof Hubertus, in the direction of Pertisau
Walking time: approx. 1.5 hours (slow walking); gradient: 10%-20%
