A Warm Welcome to the Alpineum of Hinterstoder!

Hinterstoder´s ALPINEUM is a modern exhibition center where visitors are provided with insights into the area´s history and way of life.
This unique museum offers five different levels. Visitors can find out what life was and is like in this region and get to know interesting facts about the history of woodworking and winter sports. They get insights into Alpine hazards, safety precautions and on-mountain rescue operations. The exhibition is complemented by videotapes and records on alpinism. Special attractions include a ski race simulator and an avalanche transceiver device where visitors can try to find people caught in an avalanche.
