Originally founded in the 12th century, the Rosenburg castle was remodeled into a magnificent Renaissance castle during the 16th century.
The Rosenburg does not only impress from the outside - inside, precious furniture, paintings and objects of art await you; the "Marmorsaal" (Marble Hall), the library and the castle chapel are the most beautiful rooms of the Rosenburg and convey some of the uniqueness of this castle.
But not only the castle itself and its halls are worth a visit - a unique and unforgettable experience are the falconry shows of the Renaissance Falcon Farm Rosenburg, which take place daily at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm. In addition to eagles, falcons and owls, such giants as the rare "Riesenseeadler" (Giant Sea Eagle) or the "Gänsegeier" (Goose Vulture) with wing spans of up to 3 metres show their skills.
The castle tavern invites you to relax and take a rest after your visit, and in the castle shop you can find everything you would like to take home with you after your visit to the Rosenburg.
